Celebrating Milestones and Looking Forward to 2024

As the year 2023 comes to a close, we at Tinymovr take a moment to look back at the progress we've made and set our sights on the exciting prospects of 2024. It's been a year of steady growth, continuous improvement, and meaningful connections within our community.

A Year of Steady Progress and Innovation

Launching our Next-Gen Firmware: This year was pivotal as we introduced our next-generation firmware, with an enhanced comms stack. It's the foundation upon which we're building a range of innovative features, enhancing the capabilities and user experience of our products.

Consistent Firmware Upgrades: We're proud of the three firmware upgrades we rolled out this year. Each brought significant enhancements like hall sensor support, sensorless homing, CAN-based Device Firmware Upgrade (DFU), and a more user-friendly GUI client. These upgrades, along with numerous bug fixes and stability improvements, represent our ongoing commitment to product excellence.

ROS Hardware Interfaces Unveiled: In our ongoing effort to support the robotics community, we launched our ROS Hardware interface (github), while at the same time work for the ROS2 hardware interface is underway. This initiative has been instrumental in facilitating better integration of Tinymovr technology in diverse robotic applications.

Expanding Knowledge and Open Source Resources: We've made significant strides in expanding our documentation, including the release of detailed drawings and 3D models for most of our products. This effort, especially the inclusion of schematics and PCB drawings for our open-source products, is part of our commitment to fostering a collaborative and informed user base.

Introducing the Compact Tinymovr M5: The launch of Tinymovr M5 marked an important milestone for us. This ultra-compact board, tailored for gimbal motors and lightweight robotic joints, has already begun to make an impact in its target applications.

The Announcement of Axion Integrated Actuator: One of our most exciting announcements this year was the Axion, our first integrated actuator, set to be available in Q1 2024. It represents our continued efforts in advancing motion control technology.

Community Growth and Real-World Applications: Seeing our user base expand and watching Tinymovr-enabled projects come to life has been incredibly rewarding. Your creativity and innovation continue to inspire us.

Looking Forward: The Path Ahead in 2024

New Products on the Horizon: As we move into 2024, we're excited about the potential of new products currently in development. We've already announced or hinted at some, while others will be unveiled in due course. These innovations are designed to innovate and offer even more possibilities in the field of robotics.

New and Innovative Features: A key focus for us next year is to continue enhancing our existing products with innovative features, through firmware and software updates. These improvements are based on your feedback and our commitment to delivering requested features and useful innovations.

Addressing Development Delays: We acknowledge that with innovation comes the challenge of timing. As we strive to deliver these new products and features, we're committed to maintaining the high standards you expect from us. As part of this process, we decided to postpone some upgrades that were slated for end of 2023, to early 2024, in order to ensure quality by adopting a procedure of extensive testing.

A Special Holiday Surprise: Unboxing with Tinymovr!

As we celebrate this festive season, we've prepared a little something special for you. Join us in a heartwarming Christmas-themed video where we've turned half a quadruped's worth of our Axion actuators to a bi-manual robot, which embarks on a festive adventure, unboxing a surprise gift. It's a fun way to showcase the capabilities of our technology in the spirit of the holidays.

As we say goodbye to 2023, we want to express our sincere gratitude to you, our community, for your continued support and enthusiasm. Your engagement is the driving force behind everything we do.

Here’s to a new year filled with more achievements, more breakthroughs, and more incredible journeys together.

Stay innovative, stay connected, and most importantly, stay excited for what’s coming next!

Wishing you a Happy New Year from the Tinymovr Team! 🎉
